Please ensure prior to flight that you have selected the appropriate SID/STAR for your departure and arrival airports. If you are unfamiliar with how to file and use SID/STAR procedures or have difficulty reading the charts, please contact any AFV staff member for assistance. Compliance with DP and AR procedures are real world requirements and as such we also require them in your flight reports for all AFVA flight operations.

Please note that it is not necessary to enter the procedures in the Flight Route section as ACARS will transmit them in the appropriate place in the report once submitted. Please see the image above for an example.

The only issue I have with the SID and STAR's box is I can't change it once I select it. If you are flying a long haul, chances are the STAR you select will be different than the one you end up using. It really would be best if those boxes stayed active throughout the flight so you could accurately display your arrival.

That's true, but all you have to do is make a note in your comment block in ACARS.

That's what I do most of the time. I've filed an issue tracker on this topic to see if Luke can implement this new idea into the next build of ACARS.
