I have been trying for the past 3 days to download the online flying kit and the Squawkbox model sets form the fleet library.
The furthest I have got has been 24meg of the 38meg file.
It keeps stopping at various stages of download; less than a meg, five meg, 10 meg but never the full file. I have tried Firefox and IE7, from home and from customers sites.
I dont get a timeout message or any sort of error, the download thinks that it has completed at whatever size it is when it stops. I dont know if the server is telling the browser the file is complete or what.
Unfortunately download resume isnt supported so even if I get a sizable portion of the file downloaded it always starts at 0 again.....GRRRRR!
Is there something on the AirFrance portal that is broken, is there anywhere else I can download it, or is it possible to enable the partial download feature so I can get it in numerous attempts???

How fast is your download speed? It shouldn't be aborting unless there's a problem between you and the server.

my ADSL is 8meg, I can download from most places at upto 780kbps, but trying to download the online pack i have been getting about 80kbps peak.
I have just tried again and i was getting 220kbps peak and this time it has dowloaded completly... what did you do Luke?
Did you wave a magic wand? Or is there a daemon running on the server that detects when someone post a problem then fixes it in the backgound?
I hate it when that happens, munchausen syndrome anyone...

What I did? I left my office and went out for lunch.

If you want reliable downloads send me $100 a few days in advance of your download and I'll schedule a lunch with my colleagues. smile

So you sit in the office monitoring downloads and cancel them for giggles... biggrin

Will there be a new release of the online flight pack with Squawk Box 4 released?

If so I may have to send you your $100 so my download works.... razz
