This is something that has often baffled me and I finally found the answer this evening. In case you've ever researched aircraft data, such as Jane's, but wondered just which variant does Air France fly, then here's a link to help: http://corporate.airfrance.com/en/strategy/fleet/index.html

This link will bring you to the updated fleet page at the Air France corporate website. Here you can view exactly how many seats the airline has configured each aircraft to use and exactly which engines are installed on a particular airplane.
