Hi there everyone - I'm new to AFVA so I have a few tedious newbie questions that are probably going to seem obvious to you biggrin

1. What are the basic requirements required of my flight in order my flight report to be accepted? I.e. Do I just need to take-off from the departure airport and land successfully at the destination airport, or do I need to follow STAR charts and do everything 'by the book'?

2. Talking of STAR charts, I can't find any on the database for EDDB or EDDL (Berlin-Schönefeld and Düsseldorf). I can find them elsewhere if necessary, I'm just wondering if I'm looking in the wrong place.

3. I can only find two 727-200 flights on the database. Is this correct, or am I again looking in too narrow a field?

Thanks in advance for your help biggrin

Caspian,

Firstly welcome to AFVA, hope you enjoy yourself here.

1) Fly how you feel comfortable. If you want to use SIDs and STARs go for it, its not required but its up to you how much realism you want to put in.

2) We have SID's & STAR's charts in the database but not exstensive, so you can find third party ie VATSIM/IVAO etc charts thats down to you.

3) You can fly any Flight in our Schedule not just 727 flights as long as the Aircraft you fly can safetly fly the flight with legal fuel reserves etc, your not going to take a 727 from Paris to Singapore.

Look through the Schedules and fly to where ever you want to....The skies the limits. You CAN NOT fly a route that is NOT in the schedule database. HOWEVER if you want to make a special flight make a Help Desk issue via the Pilot Centre and ask for a Charter.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm new too..

Can I fly a flight in the schedule database at any time of the day, or does it have to match the departure time of the chosen flight?
