Hi, today I want to fly from CDG to BOS, the only problem that I have is that the route is for a A343 but I dont have that rating, I have the A332 rating, and because of the new policies of the Company, I just wanted to ask if I fly that route with the A332, will that flight still, for an eventual promotion to CPT, count? Thank you.

You can fly any route with any Aircraft, as long as...

1) The Aircraft you choose to fly you are rated for
2) The Aircraft you choose to fly can make the trip safely. (its no good taking a CRJ200 on a flight from Paris to New York as the Aircraft wont make the trip)

So yes you can fly the A330 on a route that is showing in the Schedules for an A340, as long as you are rated to fly the A330
