The ground just seems not to load any further than a few miles out. All my settings are maxed out and have been for quite a while. This problem only started a few flights ago so it's really wierd. Could this be caused by new scenery, even though it is not in the immediate area?

Thanks,

Tim

I wouldn't think it could be cause by scenery in the immediate area. My scenery looks like that all of the time with medium settings.

You might want to see how many background programs are running while Windows is running. I use a program called "End it All" to close down un-needed background programs while flying.

If something starts in the background that hogs a lot of memory that might be part of the problem. Maybe someone else will chime in with another idea.

I meant to say "not caused by scenery NOT in the immediate area." How I wish we could edit these posts.

That happens to me too (in high quality settings) even when I have a lot of free memory (FS defect)!

Make sure that you have the box next to Extended Terrain Textures marked. This should solve the problem.

Best Regards.
