hi I'm new here and have downloaded the F100 for use as a 1st officer.
How do I set the route on this aircraft. I am only used to flying FS2004 aircraft using direct route.

How do I know where to fly for example I wanted to pick the route CDG-NCE. How do I put this data into the aircraft... Please help

thanks

You can use gps hold, and the autopilot will fly the route set in the default Fs flight planner. To find the realworld route between CDG and NCE, you can use a number of websites, such as http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ . This will give you an accurate realworld route bweteen the two airports. Just mark the waypoints in the FS Flight Planner, and slave the autopilot to GPS hold.

Alternatively, in the flight planner, set your airports, and then click find route with via High Altitude airways, rather than direct gps, and this will give you a reasonably accurate route, flying by waypoints.

As far as actually setting the autopilot to fly the route, I belive there is a GPS button on the F100 panel, and NAV hold, which will fly the route defined in the fs flight planner. Someone who flies it more may be able to help you further here. If you go to the Pilot Centre, you can download the F100 manual from Document Library, and this will give you detailed knowledge about the panel.

Welcome to AFV!! If you have any questions anyone here at AFV/DVA will help you. Hope you enjoy your flight - CDG-NCE is a nice route.

James,
First off, welcome to AFVA! The FS default flight planner works fine. As Daniel said, you can generate a route and from a website and manually add the waypoints in. Your best bet is to have FS automatically generate a route via high altitude airways if you want the least amout of hassle to get moving. The manual from the document center has a wealth of information about any aircraft the AFVA flies. Dont hesitate to post in the water cooler if you have any questions because chances are that you will find your answer!
